Watch Aziz Mahmud Hudayi: Askın Yolculugu Episode 8 with English Subtitles – Mahmud Effendi Wins the Debate in Brusa

“A father is the language of the child”

Episode 8 opens with a public debate in Brusa. Mahmud Effendi, the Qadi Regent, answers a Christian physician on the nature of Jesus and the chain of prophethood. Shahzade Murad rewards him with a ring, and the city starts talking. Meanwhile Dilaver Bey and Yosef grow suspicious, a captured bandit changes the case of Odemis Agha, and a circumcision ceremony for poor children brings the town together. An old man also arrives with a boy named Yusuf.

The Debate and the Ring

Mahmud Effendi argues that disagreements among sects do not falsify a religion. He then challenges the idea of Jesus as the son of Allah. He notes that Jesus ate, drank and occupied space, and asks what title Adam or the parents of Maryam would then deserve. He quotes Jesus on fulfilling the Law and the Prophets, and reads the Gospel passage about the Helper, linking the Greek parakletos to the name Ahmed. The physician Simon Effendi admits defeat, and the Shahzade gives Mahmud a ring. Dilaver Bey and Yosef suspect that Mahmud takes advice from Sheikh Uftade.

Odemis Agha Cleared and a Ceremony Planned

The case of Odemis Agha takes a turn. A captured bandit says he never knew him, and that he sold the stirrup to one of Odemis Agha’s laborers, who has since run away. Odemis Agha is cleared and admits he was wrong to blame Dilaver Bey. Dilaver Bey, now chamberlain, announces a circumcision ceremony for 30 or 40 poor children and invites Shahzade Murad. Zisan Hatun and Safiye Hanim prepare the hall, and Simon Effendi will take part as a physician. The Shahzade speaks about the sunnah of circumcision, and a shadow play follows.

Check if you have issues on all your devices (phone, tablet, laptop, PC…) or just your TV.

Different manufacturers (Samsung, LG and others) have different operating systems on which their TV’s run. Samsung uses Tizen while LG has webOS and they are not up to date with the latest standards in video playback.

That’s why we developed a player which supports casting feature.
If the video is playable on your other devices, try casting it to your TV.

In some cases casting icon doesn’t show up on the lower edge of the player to iPhone/iPad owners.

If you face such an issue, we recommend using Tubio app. It’s free and you can download it from App Store by clicking this link.

With it, you can cast any video from your iPhone/iPad to your TV.

Yes it does! Our new player supports casting feature so you can easily cast the video from your phone/tablet/laptop or PC to your TV

Category: Playback Issues

Video casting is a feature which allows you to send (or cast) a video from your phone, tablet, laptop or a PC to your Smart TV or other Cast-enabled device (such as Smart TV’s, Chromecast and other devices with cast functionality).

It makes watching a video on your TV very convenient because you don’t have to use your TV’s browser (which are often not very user friendly) to find the video and play it on your TV.

Insted, you simply:

  • find it on your phone, tablet, laptop or a PC,
  • click ‘Cast’ button (image below) on the lower edge of the video,
  • select a TV to which you want to send the video

and video playback will start on your TV.

Note: Your TV and your phone, tablet, laptop or a PC need to be on the same network. It’s usually the case at home but, for example, if your phone is on mobile network and your TV is connected to your home network, casting button won’t show up on your phone because your phone doesn’t “see” your TV because they are not on the same network. In which case, simply connect your phone to your home network and reload the browsers page where the player is.

Clear cookies, clear cache, try a different browser.

Here’s a handy guide for most browsers.

Try using a different network. For example, if you have issues on your home network, you can try using your phone and it’s mobile network, in which case, your ISP is blocking the access to the video so maybe you should consider switching ISPs or using a VPS service.

A Visit and a New Arrival

After the ceremony, Shahzade Murad visits the Sheikh’s humble home. He says he came to Brusa to protect the child of a bannerman who was martyred fighting Venice, but he has not found the boy, whose name is Yusuf. Soon an old man arrives with a boy who describes Brusa as green and full of inns, bathhouses and mosques. The Sheikh welcomes Yusuf, and the old man asks to spend his remaining days in his own village. Tension at the madrasah closes the episode, so watch for it.
