Episode 11 begins with Orhan Bey and his Alps celebrating the capture of Bursa, but the celebration does not last. Orhan warns that Temurtas and the other beylics will attack out of envy. Demirhan Bey arrives with an offer that raises suspicion, and an invitation from Iznik turns out to be a trap. Meanwhile Fatma has to face the truth about Akcora, and Halime and Dursun finally speak openly. This guide covers the main events with English subtitles and stops before the final scene.
The Trap at the Meeting Place
The letter from Iznik is a trap prepared by Saroz and Hector, who plan to kill Orhan and Asporca together. Orhan tells Asporca that Saroz serves the Temple Knights and had a hand in the attacks on her father. She doubts him, but he points out that she is surrounded by betrayal. At the meeting place, Saroz accuses Flavius of treason and claims he killed the man Flavius believed was his father. Orhan and Asporca then turn the trap around, and Saroz and Hector are defeated.
Temurtas Declares Himself Mahdi
The elders bring bad news: Temurtas has declared himself the mahdi and killed the Beys of Esrefogullari and Hamitogullari who refused to obey him. Orhan then confronts Sahinshah Bey for failing to notice any of this while he was negotiating with Temurtas. Sahinshah answers that Temurtas offered him the post of governor regent and that he meant to tell Orhan. Demirhan Bey has also been talking about the same post, and Orhan says plainly that he lives with suspicion.
