Episode 3 of Vefa Sultan opens with Teacher Mustafa announcing that he is leaving the school, and the fallout spreads quickly. Students beg him to stay, the trustees argue over who can replace him, and Yarel walks away from his duties at the lodge. Mustafa buys perfume and books in Bursa, then travels to Sheik Kutsi’s door at night. Here is what happens in the episode, which you can watch with English subtitles.
Mustafa Walks Away From the School
Mustafa tells the teachers that he made a mistake, and that those who spent years with him kicked him when he stumbled. He says the books may be closed, but the wounds from a look or a word remain, so he will leave. Mehmed and another student plead with him and take the blame for the picture on the board. Mustafa says they were not the main reason for his decision and forgives them both. He adds that he has not given up on knowledge, only chosen another path, and hopes their paths meet again.
Who Will Be the New Head Teacher?
Haci asks Teacher Kamil why Mustafa left. Kamil answers that Mustafa will now look for what he wants at Sheik Kutsi’s lodge, which surprises Haci, since Mustafa once belittled that door. Haci then asks who can fill the post at Sultaniye School. Teacher Osman is learned but lacks experience, and Kamil is due back at the Yagbasan School in Tokat. Another teacher says he has a better candidate, and the name Dilaver comes up. Elsewhere, other teachers wonder aloud whether Mustafa accepted an offer from Karamanoglu.

Video casting is a feature which allows you to send (or cast) a video from your phone, tablet, laptop or a PC to your Smart TV or other Cast-enabled device (such as Smart TV’s, Chromecast and other devices with cast functionality).
It makes watching a video on your TV very convenient because you don’t have to use your TV’s browser (which are often not very user friendly) to find the video and play it on your TV.
Insted, you simply:
- find it on your phone, tablet, laptop or a PC,
- click ‘Cast’ button (image below) on the lower edge of the video,
- select a TV to which you want to send the video
and video playback will start on your TV.
Note: Your TV and your phone, tablet, laptop or a PC need to be on the same network. It’s usually the case at home but, for example, if your phone is on mobile network and your TV is connected to your home network, casting button won’t show up on your phone because your phone doesn’t “see” your TV because they are not on the same network. Try using a different network. For example, if you have issues on your home network, you can try using your phone and it’s mobile network, in which case, your ISP is blocking the access to the video so maybe you should consider switching ISPs or using a VPS service.
Yarel, Ayse and the Perfume Shop
Yarel leaves his cleaning duty at the tevhidhane after meeting Ayse in the Bursa market, and Celaleddin reports it to Sheik Kutsi. Later Yarel tells the Sheik he did not leave because the task was beneath him, but because he felt unfit for it. Ayse tells her friend Belinay that Yarel looked at her like a stranger. Meanwhile Mustafa visits the perfumer, who recognizes him by his smell, and buys books on Sufism. He says he will discuss the rest with the Sheik in person.
