Episode 23 of Kuruluş Orhan opens with grief for Boran Bey and a vow of revenge. Sultan Orhan and his Beys face Sahinshah and the Kipchak soldiers at Cinarli, while Asporca slips out of the palace to reach her father at the Monastery of Dormition. Mourning Boran and the Battle at Cinarli
Cerkutay Bey struggles with the loss of Boran, the brother and companion he stood beside for forty years. Orhan tells his Beys that a wolf hides its wound until it takes its revenge, and that the enemy is waiting for the pack to scatter. Sahinshah then appears with Kipchak soldiers and claims Cinarli is already on his side. Demirhan Bey answers that the Kipchaks will stand with the Ottomans to the last drop of their blood. Sahinshah’s men retreat under hidden archers, and the Alps send arrows to the east and to the sky in honour of Boran.
Asporca Leaves the Palace
News reaches the palace that Prince Andronikos has dethroned the emperor and exiled him to the Monastery of Dormition. Asporca wants to see her father, but Malhun Hatun does not let her go, so she escapes. The women of the palace argue bitterly about her, and Nilufer does not hide her anger. Fatma follows Asporca’s trail with her Alps, and Orhan decides to go to the monastery himself. Evrenos and the others are told to stay outside, which is an order that gets harder to keep as the hours pass.

Orhan arrives as well, and the walls close in as Andronikos approaches with a large army and talks of an alliance with the Papacy. Outside, Evrenos, Fatma and the Alps debate whether to attack or wait. Meanwhile, Halime pursues Dursun on the road, and the palace holds its breath over Gonca’s difficult labour. Several old faces and old wounds come back to the surface before the episode ends.
