“The chair belongs to whoever deserves it.”
Episode 3 of Kuruluş Orhan opens with the Kayi tribe in crisis. Osman Bey collapses from a poison planted in his own tent, Alaeddin takes command as regent, and Orhan rides out to find a cure. While the beys argue over Bursa in a tense council, Fatma’s weapons caravan from Inegol heads toward danger. Here is what happens, who clashes, and what to watch for before the final scenes.
Poison in Osman Bey’s Tent
Osman Bey grows weaker, and Orhan learns that a heathen poison is flowing in his body. A doctor who slipped into the tent has run off, and Orhan’s side goes after him. Under questioning, the doctor says he was told to make Osman sick but not dead, and that his dagger and the ointment were poisoned. Orhan insists the matter stay inside the tent, so the enemy cannot think the Kayi failed to protect their Bey in his own home. Then he leaves the tribe to find the cure himself.
A Council Divided Over Bursa
With Osman Bey unconscious, Alaeddin gathers a war council. Sahinshah Bey argues that Bursa must fall at once, before the enemy exploits the illness. Orhan answers that the tribe should first deal with the alliance forming against it, and that fighting while his father lies sick is wrong. Boran Bey and Avci Bey trade sharp words. Alaeddin, who holds the seal, finally orders the army to prepare for the attack. Malhun Hatun’s earlier talk about who deserves the chair adds to the tension in the tribe.
