Episode 23 of Vefa Sultan opens with panic at the lodge, where people who ate the iftar soup collapse and the dervishes rush to help them. Meanwhile Hristos is praised and rewarded for his services, Celaleddin tries to win Hamit over, and a new plan takes shape around Caitlin and the young man who follows her.
Poison at the Lodge
People who drank the soup collapse, and Salman is sent running for water. A policeman demands answers, but the Sheik says the trouble is the strife hidden in the soup. Someone put poison in it, aimed at weakening people rather than killing them, which only a skilled doctor could manage. Elsewhere Hristos is praised and paid, and Dimitri says those who sat at Vefa’s table have fallen. When the Pasa is pressed by Haci, he answers that no charges exist yet. He adds that he trusts Vefa Sultan’s knowledge and sincerity.
Syrup, Suspicion and a Sermon on Fitnah
The dervishes carry jars of syrup to the poisoned. A captain confronts a doctor whose shop is open at night, and the doctor replies that he is preparing the antidote. At Zehra’s home, the family first resists, but a dervish brings the syrup anyway. Later, guests arrive at the lodge, including one who says he is not of their religion yet regained his health. The Sheik speaks about fitnah, which can arrive disguised as a friend, and says the answer is to stand united.

Salman is told to repair the market fountain, and the dervishes work with the policeman until the water runs again.
