Watch Vefa Sultan Episode 38 (Season 2 Episode 8) with English Subtitles – Huseyin Learns the Dervish Path in Vefa Sultan
“Dervishhood is the art of being with the truth among the people.”
Episode 38 of Vefa Sultan opens with a lesson about rotten apples and then moves to the damage in the dervish lodge’s orchard. Huseyin faces the shame of his mistakes. Ali’s family asks for Elif’s hand and gets a hard answer. A heartbroken lover is told to run to Allah. Here is what happens in Episode 38 with English subtitles, without spoiling how it ends.
The looted orchard and Huseyin’s shame
The Sheik explains why rotten apples are set apart, and the lesson soon applies to the lodge. Celaleddin is troubled that the field was looted and suspects resentment and malice behind it. The Sheik tells the dervishes to start again, since Allah is with those who begin anew. Elsewhere, Kamber and his men plan to sell the stolen goods at a khan outside the capital. Huseyin is crushed by what he caused and says he ruined everything. The Sheik answers that the ego returns in new forms, and that regret is the gate back to the path.
Ali’s proposal meets a wall
A delegation visits Suleyman Effendi to ask for his daughter Elif on behalf of Ali, a former student who now teaches at the school. Kamil Effendi argues that love builds the nest and that the most blessed marriage has the least expense. Suleyman is unmoved. He raised his daughter among satin and gold, and he wants a groom from among the big merchants. He adds that a blessed suitor will soon come to see her. The visitors leave with nothing settled, and Zembilli’s own heart is not at ease either.

Lessons from Idris and the road of patience
The Sheik sends Huseyin to Idris Effendi, the tailor, to learn that dervishhood is not about the robe.
