In Episode 24, Bayram Effendi is left alone at the bread oven when Somuncu Baba leaves without saying where he is going. People keep mistaking Bayram for a Sheikh, and he is ashamed of it. Omer brings the troubles of his heart to the Sheikh, Ayse begins learning from Mother Necmiye, and Besir Agha refuses to hear a warning. Along the way a story about Yunus Emre is told, and a theft unsettles the village.
Bayram Faces the Oven Alone
When Bayram arrives, Harun tells him the Sheikh has left and only said not to leave the folk without bread. Bayram tries to light the oven, but it will not catch, and he worries about breaking his promise. Nebi Sufi reminds him that he has been maturing in this oven all this time and tells him to try again. Bayram recites the Bismillah, calls out to his Sheikh, and the fire lights. Later Nebi Sufi is told to protect the one who will replace the Sheikh and to be a mirror that shows him the truth.
Omer, Ayse and Besir Agha
Omer confesses to Somuncu Baba that he has fallen for the daughter of a Bey and fears her father will never deem him worthy. The Sheikh tells him that superiority comes only by taqwa, and advises patience, trust in Allah and continued dhikr. Elsewhere, Mother Necmiye shows Ayse black seeds, ginger and clove, and offers to teach her midwifery, since she is getting old. Bayram tries to warn Besir Agha that someone wants to harm his goods, but Besir Agha dismisses him as a shepherd and sends him away.

A Story of Yunus Emre and a Theft
With the Sheikh absent, the gathered people ask Bayram to speak. He tells the story of Yunus Emre and two dervishes who pray for food in a cave, and Nebi Sufi explains that sustenance comes both from the sky and from the earth. Earlier, Celal Effendi kisses Bayram’s hand after a dream and asks forgiveness. Bayram also shows mercy to a man who stole out of hunger. Then the village wakes to news of a stolen pilgrimage fund, and the episode closes on an unexpected arrival.
