Cerkutay Bey Tells the Story of the Battle
Cerkutay Bey returns to Osman Bey’s bedside and describes the fight against the Temple Knights. The enemy had more men, so the alps used the terrain and blocked the exit of the valley. A storm broke loose and the knights charged at full gallop, but Sahinshah Bey and Avci Bey held the left wing, and Boran Bey met the enemy on the right. Orhan Bey had an answer for every move, and Cerkutay himself waited at the far end of the valley for the fleeing knights. Orhan faced Hector, who in the end ran off the battlefield. A captured enemy still warned that the real war was only beginning.
Asporca, Daphne and the Offers
Princess Asporca is told she is free, but she is still a guest of the tribe, and she clashes with Nilufer Hatun over love, trust and power. Daphne keeps asking where the Kayi sisters and Alaeddin have gone. Later Asporca brings Orhan Bey a proposal: give up Bursa and receive three times what he once asked of her father, plus the income of the trade line between Uskudar and Izmit. Orhan says he will answer after meeting the Emperor. Elsewhere, rival Beys discuss a separate plan to bring down both Kayi and Byzantium, and Fatma’s refusal of Yigit still troubles her family.

Inside Bursa, the Templars lose control and the city is left uncertain. At the headquarters, Orhan puts a clear deadline and a price of sixty thousand gold before the Emperor, with the Kayi army ready to act.
