Raiim Muradov, a veteran action choreography instructor who has worked at Bozdağ Film for over 11 years, shared behind-the-scenes insights into how these memorable scenes are created.
Action Training Starts Months in Advance
️ “A few months before shooting begins, we enter action camps with the actors,” says Muradov. These camps are where the cast dives deep into fight choreography and horse riding techniques, essential for creating the authentic feel that Kuruluş Osman is known for.
Actors also work closely with the stunt and choreography teams, ensuring harmony and flow in every battle scene long before the cameras roll.
Choreography Meets Script – A Detailed Process
Once the script is finalized, the team starts designing action sequences with the guidance of the general director. Every scene is meticulously planned, rehearsed with the stunt team, and only after safety protocols are in place, actors are brought in for their final rehearsals.
“Everything is practiced until we achieve complete realism, but also ensure full safety,” Muradov explains.
Women Warriors on Set
Kuruluş Osman’s female cast members are not standing on the sidelines. In fact, Muradov says they are just as passionate—sometimes even more—about taking part in action scenes.
️ “They love pushing their physical limits. When they participate in a scene with swords or on horseback, they really embrace the warrior spirit of the time.”
This dedication adds a whole new layer of depth to the historical authenticity the show is known for.

Despite the physical challenges of long, demanding scenes, the cast remains highly motivated.
️ “They often say they feel like they’re truly in that era,” says Muradov. “That’s how realistic the set and choreography have become. It’s tiring—but rewarding.”
