The episode opens with a search for Ibrahim, who has left home without telling anyone. Bayram Efendi tracks him to the bakery, where he is enjoying a hot loaf, and the Sheikh sends him home with a gentle warning about worrying his mother. Back at the house, Ayse tells Numan that she is pregnant, and the whole family celebrates. Later the children come to their mother with a hard question: should we fear Allah? She answers patiently, speaking about repentance, shame and the meaning of prayer.
Blacksmith Refik Faces the Qadi
A customer accuses Blacksmith Refik of wasting the raw iron meant for a sword, and the Sultan himself follows the case. The Qadi sentences Refik to forty strokes of the cane. Refik then points at his Kalfa Omer, claiming Omer asked the Guild about a free shop. Omer calls it slander, and Bayram vouches for him from their days in Enguru. The Qadi demands proof. The baker says the pot calls for his expert hand, and Emir Sultan, who once made pottery in Bukhara, is visibly struck. They talk about open and secret Dhikr.
